Bethesda postpones the release of its Starfield and Redfall games


The studio, recently purchased by Microsoft, announced the postponement of their release date on social media on Thursday.

space exploration game Starfield was originally slated to launch on November 11, 2022, a nod to the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, another flagship title from Bethesda studio released in 2011. But no gameplay preview has yet been unveiled, which suggests significant delays. Development teams will therefore be able to benefit from the additional time given to them to get closer to the finish line, by the launch planned for the first half of 2023.

Players will likely learn more about these two games during the Summer Game Festwhich has a presentation from Bethesda scheduled for June 12.

Bethesda joins the long list of video game studios which have announced a release postponement this year, in particular due to restrictions and teleworking in connection with the health crisis.
