Boris Johnson fined for his involvement in “partygate” | Coronavirus


British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will have to pay a fine for breaking anti-COVID-19 rules at parties in power circles in 2020 and 2021, Downing Street said on Tuesday. This announcement immediately raised calls for resignation from opposition parties.

Finance Minister Rishi Sunak will also be sanctioned for his involvement in the party gatea scandal that has rocked the UK government during the pandemic.
