Capitol assault commemoration: Biden attacks Trump head-on

In a speech on Thursday to commemorate the assault on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, US President Joe Biden launched a full-blown charge against his predecessor, Donald Trump, whom he bluntly accused of having betrayed the ideals of the country in the name of his personal interest.

Still referring to the ex-president without naming him, Mr Biden accused him of being the first US head of state to have attempted to prevent a peaceful transfer of power, rallying his supporters before going to watch thearmed insurrection that he had provoked on television, in the White House.

He did nothing for hours, he recalled.

Former President of the United States has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election, said Mr. Biden again He did it because he prefers power to principles and consider that his interests are more important than those of the United States.
