You have to go back to February 15 to see such a high number of hospitalizations (1550).

The number of patients in intensive care climbs by 4 on Tuesday, to 206. This is the highest number of the entire sixth wave.

Of these patients, 64% were admitted to intensive care because of the coronavirus. The others were diagnosed with the disease later.

There are 1,218 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed by PCR screening tests.

However, this number is an underestimate of infections, given the limited access to PCR testing. Just over 15,300 PCR tests were carried out on Monday. The positivity rate is 17.9%.

Public health deplores 1 more death, bringing the death toll to 12,633 since the start of the pandemic.
