I actually noticed a video where they showed a picture of the school that was taken from Google with something really gross written on it. And there I was waiting because sometimes it’s like troll accounts where it’s just to fool around, but that’s when I realized that at the end there was really a picture of a teenager that I thought to myself this really isn’t a troll account, it’s realmentioned, also in an interview with /TurnedNews.com, the one who felt challenged.

Most videos have been taken down, but some accounts are still active. The president of the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation, Jasmin Roy, believes that the damage is already done.

Jasmin Roy would like defamation cases on social networks to be criminalized.

Of course, telling a police officer that I am being called a whore on the Internet is not a death threat, it is not an incitement to violence. So it’s difficult for them to intervene because here we are dealing with defamation and that comes under the Civil Code and I, that’s what I asked Minister Pablo Rodriguez, is to return all this defamation there on social networks criminalhe pleaded.

Many parents mentioned having filed complaints with the Saguenay Police Service (SPS) in the hope that the authors behind these defamatory publications will be caught.

For its part, the SPS indicated Monday that it will not comment on the file, since the police force is not able to determine for the moment whether it is a question of criminal files.

Each case is unique and must be analyzed one at a timesaid spokesperson Tanya Lapointe by email.
