The pronunciation of toponyms was recorded by members of the communities.

The map presented on the site of the Commission de toponymie du Québec was produced with the Council of the Huron-Wendat Nation, the Council of the Innu First Nation of Nutashkuan, the Grand Council of the Waban-Aki Nation, the First Nation of the Innus of Unamen Shipu, the Innus Essipit First Nation and the Naskapi Development Corporation.
