Myanmar: Aung San Suu Kyi sentenced to four years in prison by junta

A Burmese court on Monday sentenced former civilian government chief Aung San Suu Kyi to four years in prison for inciting public unrest and violating health regulations related to COVID-19, a spokesperson told AFP of the junta.

The Nobel Peace Prize, overthrown by the army in February, was sentenced to two years in prison under section 505 (b) and two years in prison under the Natural Disasters ActZaw Min Tun told AFP.
