A musical and visual journey in the heart of winter
The film A Winter’s Journey tells the story of a poet in love in 1812 who embarks on a dangerous journey through the snow-capped Bavarian mountains. The work is also an adaptation of the set of 24 songs for voice and piano by Franz Schubert Winterreise.
Moviegoers can expect a mix of hand-painted animations (as seen with Loving Vincent), live action and CGI, according to Deadline.
In terms of distribution, we have already confirmed the participation of John Malkovich, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Jason Isaacs. The shooting of the film is scheduled for June in Poland.
