According to the magistrate, the recognition of this right by the Supreme Court almost 50 years ago was a decision totally wrong.

The Supreme Court had to consider a text of law of Mississippi which prohibits abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

However, the Supreme Court did more than confirm the legality of the Mississippi law: it squarely canceled the constitutional right to abortion recognized in 1973 and reiterated in 1992 in Casey v. Planned Parenthood.

This Supreme Court decision has the effect of restoring the situation that was in effect before Roe. Thus, it will now be up to the States to legislate in order to prohibit, limit or authorize abortion on their territory.

About half of the states are expected to ban this procedure in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision.

Already, Missouri, Louisiana and Texas have announced the suspension of almost all abortion procedures in their territories. These states, like a dozen others, had adopted trigger laws that provided for the almost immediate cancellation of abortion in the event of Roe’s overthrow.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry welcomed the U-turn by the Supreme Court.

Mike Pence, who served as vice president in the Trump administration, said he was moved that today life has won and called for a national abortion ban.

On the other side of the political spectrum, California, Oregon and Washington State have pledged to uphold abortion rights.

The Supreme Court’s decision, a draft of which leaked last May, represents a victory for the American conservative right, which has been involved in the fight against abortion for decades.

It will also mark one of the most significant legacies of President Donald Trump, who vowed to appoint judges who would overturn Roe v. Wade. The three judges he appointed agree with the majority decision, a judgment that represents nothing less than the God’s willaccording to Donald Trump.

Writing for the minority, Justice Stephen Breyer says the ruling will result in restrict women’s rights and their status as free and equal citizens.

Joe Biden is now calling for Democratic candidates to be elected in November’s midterm elections to restore abortion rights through the passage of legislation.

This call echoes that of the representative of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, for whom it is clear that the rights of women and all Americans will be at stake next November.

Former Democratic President Barack Obama, who appointed two of the dissenting justices, accused the Supreme Court for attacking the basic freedoms of millions of American women.
