The Witcher 3 offered at the end of the year on the new generations of consoles

The announcement was made through the video game series’ Twitter account on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the title released in 2015.

The initial plan was to release this version, which will be compatible with the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and the Xbox Series S and X, between April and June, but the studio had to announce the postponement of the date on April 13.

This reprieve will allow CDPR to complete development without the help of Saber Interactive, an American studio that was collaborating in the process of updating the game.

Owners of a version of the game from an older console generation will not have to pay additional fees to obtain this new version of the game.

Based on The Witcher book saga, all three games in the series follow the adventures of Geralt of Rivia as he attempts to eradicate monsters and supernatural creatures. A TV adaptation also launched in 2019 on Netflix starring Henry Cavill in the titular role.
