Ubisoft will shut down online multiplayer for 15 video games


Among the video games affected by this announcement are Assassin’s Creed Brotherhoodthe first multiplayer game in the popular series from Ubisoft Montreal.

This announcement is a turning point for this title, released in November 2010 and whose remastered version for more recent consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch) does not have all the same original elements of the online multiplayer mode, according to what reports the specialized site The Verge.

For players, this means that all multiplayer components and online functionality will be gone. These people will no longer be able to install or access downloadable content in these video games.

Offline and single-player features remain available for all titles listed, and remastered versions are spared, according to Ubisoft’s website.

In April, Ubisoft published a list of nearly a hundred video games whose online services were disconnected from 2013 to 2022.
