Washington will deploy 3,000 additional troops to Eastern Europe

President Joe Biden has officially approved the deployment, “in the coming days” of at least 3,000 troops in Eastern Europe, notably in Poland and Romania, to reinforce NATO positions in the face of the threat Russia hovering over Ukraine.

According to the CNN news channel, which cites American officials the Pentagon must make the official announcement on Wednesday morning of this new deployment of troops in Europe.

Also according to CNN, at least 2,000 soldiers must be sent to Poland and the others to the countries of southeastern Europe, including Romania.

Recently, Washington placed 8,500 troops on heightened alert in case the NATO Response Force was called upon to move quickly to defend Ukraine against an invasion by Russia that massed more than 100,000 troops in its borders.
