When too much training poses health risks


While the benefits of physical activity are numerous, exercising too much can, on the contrary, become dangerous for your health. Two cardiologists, Dr Martin Juneau and Dr Paul Poirier, explain the risk of sudden death in endurance athletes who are past a certain age or who have been training for a very long time. They mention when excessive training has harmful effects and how it has nothing to do with the intensity of the effort. Ultramarathoner Joan Roch joins the discussion.
